Why am I writing?

There is a world, with people(!) in it, in addition to all else there is. There is no meaning, no framework, no write or wrong. No script or purpose. There are options and choices and those may be the things that make us. In the reality I exist within I have chosen to value love, but what does that mean to me right now?

I belive in and expect incredible things from myself. Connection to people. empathy, charisma, creative thinking, fast learning. Confidence. Steadiness. Drive. Radical Self Trust and Radical Forgiveness.

What these things mean to me in this world of heterogeneous layers of capitalism, industrialization, broken relation, prison, poison, wealth, radical love, radical joy, quiet revolution, loud revolution, identity, art, and family. I desperately want to choose how I am living, but not to cling to and seek control. Love is letting go. I can live interstitially and with awareness of doing so.

But I need the resources of the earth, world, words, and ocean. Above all I need the company of others, a vital groundwork from which to draw strength, trust, and creativity. This is a momentous time where I choose how to take the next step.

This silly substack is part of a next step. I write here to lay my heart open again and again for others, hoping that I can touch your heart and we can form connection. Tentatively, I write, hoping that this is a piece of a larger project to come.

I love bugs, we are love bugs, and here you will find writings from a bug about how on earth we are living on earth together. Half dropout-scientist musings on biology and sustainability, and half sentimental explorations of heart and mind. Love, Bugs
